Primary/Pre-Air Filter Class C Air Filter for Compressed Air Systems Introduction

Time:2026-04-01 15:28:45

The Primary/Pre-Air Filter is a critical preliminary purification component installed at the front end of compressed air systems, with a solid particle filtration precision of 1μm and a liquid filtration precision of 1ppm. Specifically engineered to remove impurities from raw compressed air, it provides reliable protection for downstream precision equipment and ensures stable system operation.

Pre-Air Filter

Installation and Usage Guidelines: First, verify that the filter matches the compressed air system’s air flow and interface specifications. Install it strictly in line with the airflow direction marked on the housing, close to the air compressor outlet to intercept impurities at the source. Ensure a tight seal with professional gaskets to prevent unfiltered air from bypassing. During operation, monitor the pressure difference regularly and replace the filter element promptly when it exceeds the rated value to maintain filtration accuracy. Regularly drain accumulated liquid from the discharge port to avoid backflow and secondary contamination.
Primary Air Filter
Its importance is significant: It effectively filters 1μm solid particles and 1ppm liquid impurities (e.g., oil droplets and moisture) from compressed air, preventing wear, corrosion and clogging of downstream equipment such as precision valves, pneumatic components and instruments. This extends equipment service life, reduces maintenance costs and minimizes downtime. Additionally, it eases the load on subsequent high-precision filters, optimizes overall filtration efficiency, and ensures the compressed air meets the basic cleanliness requirements for industrial production. Compact, easy to install and maintain, it is an indispensable pre-filtration device for compressed air systems.
