ORMD air compressors have gained valuable experience during long-term installation. Some cases show energy savings of over 30%.
1. Choose installation location and environmental requirements
Choose a well ventilated, clean, and dry environment to avoid dust, corrosive substances, and high-temperature areas. Ensure that there is at least 1 meter of space around for heat dissipation and maintenance.
The ambient temperature should be controlled below 40 ° C, and ventilation or cooling equipment should be strengthened in high-temperature areas to avoid compressor overheating affecting performance.
2. Basic and vibration reduction measures
Adopting a sturdy concrete foundation to ensure horizontal stability and prevent vibration transmission. It is recommended to use vibration damping pads or brackets to reduce noise and mechanical stress.
Set up a drainage system to treat condensed water and avoid damage to equipment or foundations caused by accumulated water.
3. Electrical and piping systems
Confirm that the power supply voltage matches, use a dedicated circuit, and ensure reliable grounding. High power equipment requires independent circuit breakers.
The pipeline material needs to be pressure resistant and have high sealing performance. It is recommended to install filters and dryers to improve air quality. Exhaust pipes should be equipped with pressure relief valves and drainage devices.
4. Air Treatment and Thermal Management
The air intake should be kept away from the source of pollution, and a pre filter should be installed if necessary. Integrated aftercooler and drying system to reduce the humidity and temperature of compressed air and protect downstream equipment.
For continuously running compressors, it is recommended to configure variable frequency drive (VSD) to match load changes and save energy consumption.
5. Follow manufacturer specifications and testing
Strictly follow the manufacturer's guidelines for installation, including pipeline layout, electrical connections, and safety valve calibration. After installation, a no-load test is required to check for abnormal noise or vibration and calibrate pressure parameters.
Record initial operational data for future maintenance comparison.
6. Professional support and long-term maintenance
It is recommended to have professional technicians perform the installation to ensure compliance with industry standards. Choose a supplier that provides all inclusive services, covering the entire process from site selection to training.
Regular maintenance includes replacing lubricating oil, cleaning the cooling system, and inspecting seals to extend equipment life.
ORMD compressor base on rich expirence and test result have summarized that efficiency of the compressor can be maximized, energy consumption can be reduced, and the risk of shutdown can be minimized. ORMD never stops in terms of stability and energy efficiency.
